Keynote
Michael Marr, Shell Pennsylvania’s Business Integration Lead will present information on Shell’s state-of-the-art polyethylene plant in Monoca PA in Beaver County, western Pennsylvania, that is redefining the industry. This multi billion dollar project is one of the largest private investment projects in Pennsylvania’s history. Shell plans to leverage ethane from Marcellus and Utica shale gas, to convert it to polyethylene, raw material used to manufacturer plastics and other products. The plant is estimated to produce annually 1.6 million tons of polyethylene. The Pennsylvania location strategically places Shell within 700 miles of the majority of North American polyethylene buyers.
