Focus Central Pennsylvania Recognizes Board Members and Welcomes New

Lewisburg, PA – At the December annual meeting of the Focus Central Pennsylvania Board of Directors, held on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018, board members were recognized for their contribution to the mission of Focus and new members were welcomed to the Board. The Board of Directors of Focus Central Pennsylvania provides policy and strategic direction to advance the mission of the organization which is to attract and support expansion of capital investment that creates quality career opportunities for families of Central Pennsylvania.

“Building off of the momentum from recent initiatives, we are enthusiastic about future efforts to drive interest in central Pennsylvania, positioning it as an ideal location for new investment and career opportunities. Regional collaboration and support for a visionary, strategic approach to telling the central Pennsylvania story has proven effective, and holds much promise as we enter 2019.” Said Jennifer Myers, Vice President of Economic Development for Chamber of Business & Industry Centre County (CBICC) and Chair of Focus Central Pennsylvania.

Recognized at the meeting for their years of contribution and commitment to the Focus mission and to advancing smart economic growth in Central Pennsylvania were outgoing board members Eric Winslow, representing Union County Planning & Economic Development; Harold Hurst, representing DRIVE for Montour County; and Vic Klein, representing DRIVE for Columbia County. Certificates of appreciation and recognition were presented to the members by Chair, Jennifer Myers, VP of Economic Development for Chamber of Business & Industry Centre County (CBICC).  Outgoing Board member Vic Klein shared his thoughts on his years spent working on economic development and with Focus Central PA in the region:

 “I have been honored to serve with Focus over the years and impressed at how it continues to develop and improve marketing methods to attract business and jobs into our region. It represents a truly collaborative effort between a number of counties and organizations and provides a valuable, professional service in a very efficient manner. Focus has demonstrated success with its efforts and I know it will continue to represent our region very well.”
