Shamokin Dam, PA – Focus Central Pennsylvania, a regional economic development marketing alliance, will join economic development partners from across Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development to exhibit at the 2019 SelectUSA Investment Summit, June 10-12, in Washington, D.C. The Investment Summit is an annual event connecting companies with U.S. economic development organizations to facilitate job-creating business investment in the United States.

Central Pennsylvania has an advocate corporate leader that will be attending the event as a panel speaker, Mr. Ronn Cort, President & COO of SEKISUI Polymer Innovations, LLC in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania an innovative advanced plastic manufacturing company in the region making investments and creating jobs. Ronn will be a panelist speaker for the Optimizing Partnership Opportunities panel on Tuesday, June 11th. Mr. Cort is known as fast-moving strategic leader focused on organizational innovation, is passionate about the transformative power of America’s inter-generational manufacturing workforce embracing quick-response-manufacturing (QRM). With fifteen years of international business development in the US, Switzerland, South Africa, China and Japan, he is President of US-based SEKISUI Polymer Innovations, a business unit of Japan’s SEKISUI Chemical Corporation. His is most recent educational journey includes credentials in “Strategic Leadership” and “Organizational Design for Creativity and Innovation” from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. However, his most meaningful educational journeys come from investing time on the manufacturing floor asking, “what if…what do you think….and why?” Ronn loves to explore the compounded power of collaboration and cooperation through public and private partners.

Past Investment Summit participants have announced more than $103.6 billion in new U.S. investment projects within five years of attending an Investment Summit, creating or retaining more than 167,000 U.S. jobs in the process.
