Joe Kantz, Focus Central PA Board Member and Event Committee Chair said As a County Commissioner in Snyder County for the past dozen years, I have seen smart growth in our region.  One of the reasons we’ve seen this growth is because of the work of FOCUS Central PA.  This Forum will be a “must attend” event for anyone who is interested in economic and industrial development in the greater Central PA area. When we approach growth in central PA from a regional approach, we succeed.  This event will broaden our ability to work together and bring even more growth to our region to benefit our residents and our local economies.”

If you have a direct or closely aligned vested interest in industrial and overall development and growth in the Focus Central Pennsylvania region the event is a must to attend. The keynote and panelists participants are responsible for millions, billions of dollars in “game changing” investment projects providing smart economic growth and careers in Pennsylvania. The Shell Pennsylvania “cracker plant” investment project is a petrochemical complex that will use low-cost ethane from shale gas producers in the Marcellus and Utica basins to produce up to 3.5 billion pounds of polyethylene plastic pellets per year.  The pellets produced at this plant are used in many products, from food packaging and containers to automotive components that will drive down stream growth, investment and development throughout Pennsylvania.

With an emphasis on growth in the Central Pennsylvania region in plastics, agribusiness and building products industries, attendees of the forum will receive valuable insights and information on key strategic growth areas including infrastructure investments, regional company growth project investments, developer investments, attracting talent, the industrial real estate market in Central Pennsylvania, economic activity and more. The forum provides a tangible, in person opportunity to elevate the activity and discussion of the impact of industrial development here in Central Pennsylvania today and in the future.

Lauren Bryson, Focus Central PA Executive Director said “Focus Central PA is excited to be hosting this event and convening an incredible line of speakers and panelists that will provide a high impact networking and learning event that will elevate the topic of industrial development and investment taking place in Central Pennsylvania.”

The forum is being held on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Degenstein Campus Center at Susquehanna University located at 514 University Avenue, Selinsgrove PA 17870.
