Next week Focus Central Pennsylvania will be joining regional partners in the CorePA Global initiative to promote the region for business attraction at the Pennsylvania Pavilion at the NPE International Plastics Showcase, March 23-27.

Why target Plastics companies? Plastics is a growing industry providing quality, well paying jobs. Central Pennsylvania is home to several successful, growing plastics companies that have the advantage of being located within 60% of US and Canada’s population and major US markets; extensive network of trade schools, technical colleges and university; quality workforce; research and development resources; available industrial buildings and sites; world class rail infrastructure and service;  low cost of living; high quality of life and much more.

NPE 2015 is a triannual plastics industry trade expo and educational forum described as “the world’s most important plastics trade show and conference of the year – bringing together every sector of the plastics industry, including end markets.” Based on the registration and exhibitors NPE this year is taking shape as the largest and most international exposition in the 69 year history of NPE. There is a record number of exhibitors and 43% of them and 28% of those registered to attend are joining from outside the US. The expo showcases the latest technology, trends, equipment and running equipment for every phase of plastics processing. This year’s expo will feature over 2,000 exhibitors and attract over 60,000 attendees.
